Maison Perrier

Commissioned by Maison Perrier, a new division of Perrier, Maggie West created a series of images for the brand’s global launch event in Paris. The artwork was inspired by the fruit flavors used in the beverages.

To create the work, West meticulously sliced and arranged various fruits on a plexiglass sheet, employing strobe lights with colored gels underneath to illuminate the compositions from behind. This unique approach, marking her debut work with edible plants, allowed her to capture the way that peaches, strawberries, limes and other fruits reflected the colored light while highlighting their distinct natural textures.
