HONEY

Honey is a new series by Maggie West that elevates raw honey into a surreal landscape of color, motion, and light. Using fragments of honeycomb and slow moving pools of honey, the artist sculpts light across their surfaces in shifting spectrums of color. Through her meticulous lighting techniques, this familiar material becomes almost unrecognizable as particles sparkle like stardust and viscous gold folds into fluid ribbons. The smallest movements bloom into cosmic landscapes, creating imagery that feels closer to witnessing a living galaxy forming in real time.

Now Arcade

Maggie West will premiere Honey at Outernet London’s NOW Arcade, extending her ongoing relationship with one of the most innovative public art platforms in the world. West’s previous installations with Outernet have transformed the venue into vivid immersive environments that stop passersby in their tracks, drawing global attention and cultivating a dedicated audience for her large scale digital work. Presenting Honey at the NOW Arcade marks a natural evolution of that partnership, bringing her newest macro time lapse series to a space designed to surround viewers with light, motion, and sound.
